Job Responsibilities:

Plan and operate annual budget.
Implement and evolve the strategic plan for Lifebuilders International in the areas of fundraising, public relations,marketing and sales, evaluating existing programs, recommending new offerings consistent with the mission and vision of Lifebuilders International.
Establish employment and administrative policies and procedures in the areas of fundraising, public relations, or key functions and for the day-to-day operation of the organization learning, modeling, and adhering to the values of Lifebuilders International.
Serve as a Lifebuilders International spokesperson to the nonprofit community, the media and the general public, to position and strengthen Lifebuilders International’s name recognition and reputation in the community.
Work in partnership with the program staff to make certain that all participants in Lifebuilders International’s humanitarian programs receive the highest quality of services through continued enhancement of programmatic excellence.
Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout Guatemala and the USA and utilize these to strategically enhance the mission of Lifebuilders International.
Identifying potential donors and otherwise increase the overall visibility of Lifebuilders International.
Cultivate and sustain relationships with a wide variety of constituencies including current and potential donors,foundations and government sources, local businesses and community partners.
Oversee fundraising efforts and, in time, engage other professional fundraisers in seeking annual, major, campaign and planned gifts..

A day in the life of a Ministry Development Director:

At Life Builders International the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We focus on evangelism, discipleship, and our feeding center. So having resoures available to continue our work is a crucial portion of the aspects we need to maintain a high focus on and where you can really have a major impact helping us expose what we do to all stakeholders.
You will have the opportunity to get to know and interact withour programs and get a feel and love for the people we help.
You will be able to contact many organizations to get funds and testify of Jesus to them.
The role of Ministry Development Director, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him in a spirit filled environment.
Demonstrate a transparent and high integrity leadership and a style that motivates people to work hard while having fun;
Demonstrate a solid, proven budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting;
Demonstrate strong organizational abilities including collaborating, planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation;
Evidence experience, interest and a proven track record with major gift fundraising;
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and appropriate self-confidence and maturity so as to effectively communicate Lifebuilders International’s vision at all levels and across organizational lines in a manner inspiring to staff, board, donors and volunteers;
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff with a “hands-on” orientation to the workplace and supervision, and the humility to be willing to take on any task at any time.
Assess, manage, and report critical physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns of staff
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

A bachelor’s degree as a minimun but prefer an MBA qualification
Five or more years experience in professional fundraising/development to include applied knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations with foundations, individuals, corporations, and other sources
Strong written and oral communication skills and appropriate self-confidence and maturity so as to effectively communicate Lifebuilders International’s vision at all levels and across organizational lines in a manner inspiring to staff, board, donors and volunteers
Job Location: Guatemala

We emphasize on providing Spiritual education and nutrition in the Lake Atitlan, literally on the airstrip, where you will be based, as well as we are based in the neighborhood of Santa Fe in Guatemala City next to the airport, where the mission is based. We are very evangelistic and discipleship orientated, sharing about Jesus, but also have educational projects, as well projects for bettering humanity through health and proper nutrition. We are a non-denominational, spirit-filled Christian ministry dedicated to bringing the light of Christ to every corner of Guatemala through programs that feed the spirit, soul, and body.
